Urgent help is needed by the Science and Engineering team! YSA Sydney has been involved in the Science and Engineering Challenge for many years now and have been asked to help out again this year!
What is the Science and Engineering Challenge?
The SEC is a full-day activity where schools come together to battle it out in science and engineering challenges. The teams are made of usually year 10 students and participate in such activities as building a bridge, electrocity, leprechaun cannon and many more! The activities will be coordinated by Rotary clubs of NSW and run by volunteers such as yourselves. You will be in charge of scoring and mentoring.
Don’t forget, this activity is also part of the SCARS system. Helping out at SEC will also help you apply for The Science Experience positions later this year and early next year, for those who did not staff this year.
DatesYSA members are able to volunteeer at the following Science and Engineering Challenges : Campbelltown: Thu-Fri 21-22 June
Uni of Western Sydney (Kingswood): Fri 29 June

You do not have to go to all these days, just let us know which one/s you would be interested in. You’ll probably be required from about 8am-4pm. To apply, click the apply tab above. |
